How I found it was actually embarrassing — I could never get my head round what an ew payout actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even the boring singles.

The thing that really changed how I bet were the nerdier tools. They've got an odds-to-probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie's taking, and there's the kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is terrifying. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I'm spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. Its layout looks a bit basic — no frills, it's clearly function over form. On mobile it's usable but the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there's nothing on the app store, it's browser only — doesn't bother me but worth saying.
So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If you honestly adds it up in their head, try it — saves me a load of "wait, that's it?" moments.
